Astitva is a 360° immersive VR short film that explores the lived reality of gender-based oppression through an intimate first-person perspective. Set in rural Rajasthan, the project uses immersive storytelling to place the viewer within the emotional and physical space of its protagonist, allowing social violence and silent suffering to unfold around them. Designed as both a narrative and technical exploration of VR filmmaking, the project investigates how perspective, space, and sound can be used to evoke empathy and confront deeply rooted societal issues.
